Tourism In Other Districts Of Haryana

Ambala

It is located on the North-Eastern edge of Haryana. The history of the district dates back to AD 14th century and is believed to have been founded by Andra Rajput during this period. Yet another legend says that the district has got its name after Goddess Bhawani Ambe whose temple still exists in Ambala city.

The Bhawani Ambe temple (named after the Goddess Bhawani) is a widely visited place in Ambala. The town is home to many Gurudwaras (Sikh temples), some of which have historical importance. The Badshahi Bagh Gurudwara, Sheesh Ganj Gurudwara, Manji Sahib Gurudwara, Labhuwala Talabh and Sangat Sahib Gurudwara are worth visiting. Popular Muslim shrines of Lakhi Shah and Taqwal Shah, Saint Paul's Church and an old British Christian cemetery are also situated in Ambala. Patel park in Ambala Cantt and City Park in Ambala city
